Vinous Neal Martin - 05 Jan 23
The 2021 Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze Grand Cru has an attractive nose with red berry fruit, autumn leaves and subtle graphite scents, all gaining intensity in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins. It's surprisingly creamy in texture and candied towards the finish, though lacks the intrinsic complexity of a truly great vintage. It becomes a little hard with aeration, unlike the Chambertin.
